Gonchor provided the planning and project management of a major 2 floor Renovation. This particular project incorporated alternative methods of how libraries deliver services, i.e., distance learning, electronic media, were a major factor in the design.  Before the late 1970s, housing print media was the main function of a library.  The uses of electronic media, computer technology, and other forms of modern-day advancements have had a profound effect on the function and design of the library. As a result, the Mid Manhattan Library design took into account all of these issues that may affect its use in the future.
